This comes 24 years to the day after my last relationship ended. One of the reasons why I wrote transgender captions, along with transgender fiction, in the first place was to work out romantic frustrations. The woman I was in my last relationship with was born female (non-transgender); yet, she had a developmental disability that kept her from finishing high school. She also came from a family with a two-generation history of emotional, mental and physical abuse. In the 24 years since that relationship ended, while I've been successful with dating transgender women (most my age or older) and younger non-transgender women, I've had my trust in women on dates damaged by being stood up 70-80% of the time on dates (even once by an older TG woman). Like my captions and stories, love and romance is nothing more than a fantasy, as far as I'm concerned.
